Training Faithful Shepherds in Malawi

The Legacy Bible Foundation (LBF) has partnered with Central African Preaching Academy (CAPA), a ministry of the International Bible Fellowship Church. CAPA continues to faithfully equip pastors in Malawi to study, live out, and teach God’s Word.

From 2014 to 2021, CAPA trained 120 students through diploma, bachelor’s, and Master of Divinity programs. Although formal classes were paused during the COVID-19 pandemic and faculty transitions, CAPA is preparing to resume classes in January. Accreditation is currently underway, and new staff are in place. In rural villages, where access to formal theological education is limited, CAPA also provides informal training workshops in the local language. These have greatly encouraged church leaders and strengthened many congregations.

CAPA is affiliated with The Master’s Academy International, a ministry of Grace Community Church. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to send Bibles to support the training of Pastors. CAPA has begun translating trusted biblical resources, with two books already completed and more in progress, helping equip pastors in their heart language.
