I am from Rwanda, now attending African Christian University (ACU). I serve in my student council and as a member of Kabwata Baptist Church, where I serve in the media ministry. I received two copies of the Legacy Standard Bible (LSB). These Bibles taught me to call God by His covenant name, Yahweh and they provided me the opportunity to minister to my unbelieving sister. She believes in most of the liberal ideologies, but she is open to Gospel conversations. Recently, I went back home to Rwanda for a visit and was able to present the Gospel to her.
I cannot think of anything more valuable to put in her hands than the eternal Word of God. But I
had no means to afford it. Most Africans cannot afford to own a Bible. So, it is truly a blessing to have fellow Christians provide the eternal Word of God in our hands. She was receptive and thanked me for the gift of the Bible.
With the “Sword of the Spirit” now present in Maurice’s family ... God promises: “... my word that goes out from my mouth ... will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11). Your giving to share Bibles is touching lives in Africa and around the world!

Gerson gave away his bible. A student at African Christian University (ACU) in Zambia, Gerson says, “In my opinion, the best gift to mankind is a hard copy of the Bible. A Bible will last a lifetime and can pass to the next generation.” Originally from Uganda, Gerson is a husband and a father of three. He serves as a pastor and missionary involved in church planting, training pastors, and evangelism through radio ministries.
Because you and other caring Believers gave, Gerson received a Legacy Standard Bible (LSB). Despite its immense value to him, he gave it to a Catholic Tanzanian immigration officer on a trip back to Uganda. The officer said, “This is the best gift I have ever received!” Gerson is praying that God will use that Bible for the officer’s conversion. In his pastoral training classes, Gerson has noticed that many pastors do not own copies of the Bible. “If pastors lack personal Bibles,” he says, “how much more do their congregations?”
He goes on to say, “The main reason there is a lack of spiritual growth and false teachings in Africa is because Christians do not have a Bible. Crafty false teachers can easily manipulate people to believe anything they say.” That’s why Gerson is so thankful that you have done your part to send Bibles. He calls it “a dream come true.”
Gerson says, “Just as the harvest is plenty and the laborers are few, in Africa, those without Bibles are
plenty and the Bibles are few. Thanks for sharing!” Your giving is having a major impact in Africa, sending God’s Word where it is so needed. Your donations are like seeds planted in the good soil!
